As the classes are held in my home, my kitchen can accommodate 2, possibly 3 students at a time. This means I can give each student more attention. The workshops are held in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Saturday 16th March 9am - 12.30pm 2 to 3 spaces
1.30pm - 5pm 2 to 3 spaces
All equipment and ingredients are provided.
Refreshments are also provided.
How to make the perfect buttercream.
How to stack the cake.
How to create a smooth finish.
Optional: using piping tips to decorate the top, creating a drip effect, applying sprinkles.
I will also talk about my recipe for the sponge, however these will be pre-baked by me.
You will take home a single tier (3x2in layers of sponge) buttercream covered cake on a decorated board, decorated optionally with a drip, swirl and sprinkles. The cake will be packed for you in a box for safe transport.
The only thing you need to bring is a can do attitude and good humour. However, there are some things you may wonder about.
My house has hard flooring on the ground floor so shoes can be worn, however, if you'd rather wear comfy slippers, please bring your own.
If you'd like to take some notes, please bring pen and paper.
I have plenty of aprons, however you may choose to bring your own.
