Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at cakeoclock.bbrough@yahoo.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

It all depends how big you want the portions. As a rule of thumb I allow 100g of cake per person, however this is a rough guide and it is quite generous. I use this particular guide: https://www.facebook.com/cakeoclock.bbrough/photos/pb.100068071330034.-2207520000./115621974034459/?type=3 For party portions I use the 1"x2" guide and I double it as my cakes are usually 7" tall so can be cut in half. If you are in doubt as to which size to go for, I normally ask during my consultation how many people you want it to serve and can advise from there.

If you are unsure how to cut the cake, please have a look at this video 'How to cut a tall cake' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhVJZEFy9DM. It is very informative and it shows you how you can yield 36 party portions from a 5" cake.
