I have always had a flair for baking. But my true passion started when I decided to make a unicorn cake for my little girl's 1st birthday. I did the birthday cakes prior to that for my son, but it was the fixation with watching cake videos on you tube that prompted me to make the unicorn cake, and after that I never stopped. I have come a long way from that cake, but I am super proud of it as it was the beginning of my cake journey.
In June 2021, after years of baking for family and friends, I have registered my home business with the local council and Cake O'Clock was born.
Between September 2021 and February 2022 I have attended the PME diploma course. I have completed the modules in Sugarpaste, Royal icing and Sugar flowers.
In June 2022 I have attended the Cake International Spring Escape where I had the privilege to learn from two amazing ladies Carla Puig and Emma Jane.
In November 2022 I have plucked up the courage to enter the Cake International competition. My cake has earned me a merit in the Beginners Class. I have also had the pleasure to attend a workshop ran by Javier Azocar where he taught me how to paint on fondant and how to work with isomalt.
